I enjoyed chapter 18 the most because it did not happen too long ago so it’s easier to connect to. Chapter 18 was in my video games and I can see what it is like. I have also seen a lot about world war one on the history channel.
I learned a lot about world war one in chapter 18. I learned that women would teach soldiers how to use gas masks, grow crops to feed them, clean barnacles off submarines, drove ambulances to pick up wounded soldiers, and take them to hospitals where other women would heal there wounds. I also learned that the Germans stood no chance against the Americans when they joined the war because they were fresh soldiers that were ready to jump into action and were not tired like the other countries soldiers because they did not fight in the war as long as them.
A new skill I learned to use this year was to make important notes on things I think will show up on the Test. This really helped me get better grades since I had an idea of what is going to be on the Test and because I don’t have study guides. I have learned that the stock market can make you lose all of your money.
I can apply this knowledge to the real world because I will never invest in the stock market since I am afraid it is too much of a gamble to invest all my money and have a chance to lose it all. I can also be sure to save money incase the U.S. goes into inflation.
